WTK First Event!

Sunday was trailer park day at Modern Yarn in New Jersey. Our pal Julia Roberts was on hand (with strawberry marshmallows and homemade rice krispie treats) to discuss and sign her book RV There Yet? while we gave beer cozy knitting lessons.

Here are the cozies we all made. It was a perfect WTK afternoon, with laughing and chatting and getting to know each other over needles and yarn and cheap (root) beer.

Paige got it in her head to make 13 cozies in her corporate colors to hand out at happy hour. She did it-in two days! See the happy co-workers here. Notice, she is also sporting the sweet Born to Knit tattooed wifebeater tank. You are a White Trash Knitters inspiration, Paige.

Knit/ Book Party

Dear WTK knitters,

We would like to cordially invite you to the very first White Trash Knit and Book party. Learn how to knit your own beer cozie first hand, or just decorate one at our knitting station. Then, enjoy a cold beer in your personalized beer cozie and some snacks, while browsing Modern Yarn's exquisite yarn collection and meeting the author of "RV There Yet?," Julia Roberts! Julia will be doing a book signing and finishing up her book tour! There will also be a sneak glance into the White Trash Knitters book, where knitters will meet the characters and enjoy the first of many stories to come of seven very interesting people and how their lives intertwine in a WTK knitting group. Of course, these are the fictional stories of WTK, if you would like to start your own group, in your city, simply email us and we will help you get started!
